The Brief

Back to products

Harrison Creative were approached to be involved in the Hope & Homes Family Marathon, a marathon with meaning and a brand-new event for 2019. Hope & Homes for Children are a charity that started at a kitchen table in 1994 and have now benefited the lives of over 1.1 million children worldwide. They are at the forefront of a global movement to eliminate the institutional care of children and work around the world to provide loving families for children who would otherwise grow up in orphanages.

The Family Marathon is a unique event that encourages families, friends and colleagues to join hundreds of other families in running the equivalent of a marathon distance (26.2 miles) together as a team, achieving something remarkable whilst raising money for this very worthwhile cause.

What We Did

This event is a special one for the Harrison Group, as managing director Adrian Harrison has been a supporter of the Hope & Homes for Children charity for over 20 years and said of the event “It’s great to see the work of Hope & Homes being celebrated by families and in running the marathon together they’re helping to make a meaningful difference to the lives of other children”.

Harrison Creative were brought on board to provide all of the branded materials for this event, including easily identifiable gantries for the start line and finish line that would become focal points for the event as well as lots of other branded materials across the entire site to help raise brand awareness for this new event.

To create a consistent display right along the running route, we supplied over 900 metres of fence scrim as well as providing temporary signage for along the route and to identify key areas within the site including welfare facilities, food & drink vendors and other activities taking place throughout the day. Branded event pylons were used as wayfinding and displayed printed maps for the convenience of runners and spectators and our 6 metre flagpoles were used throughout the site to create interest at height and variance in the way their branding was displayed.
